
 
Obstetric and gynecologic history are often considered a distinct part of the medical history. This history includes past medical history related to reproductive  including pregnancies, medical conditions, medications, and procedures.
Obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) is a medical field that combines obstetrics and gynecology, two related areas of medicine: 
	- Obstetrics: The care of women and their babies during pregnancy and childbirth 
 
	- Gynecology: The treatment of women's diseases, especially those of the female reproductive system 
 
OB/GYNs treat a variety of health conditions, including:
	- Menstruation
 
	- Pregnancy
 
	- Childbirth
 
	- Pelvic floor
 
	- Internal and external reproductive organs
 
	- Menopause
 
	- Hormone problems
 
	- Contraception (birth control)
 
	- Infertility
